VH1 Goes ‘Behind the Music’ with Ricky Martin

Ricky Martin has always considered his life to be a balancing act, but Livin’ La Vida Loca comes with some hard lessons.

Martin will discuss his struggles and successes in a one-hour VH1 Behind the Music special set to air Sunday.

ChicagoPride.com reports, “In this Behind the Music, Ricky Martin recounts his career from his early days with the Latin pop group Menudo through his days as a soap opera star and finally to his career as a music phenomenon.”

Last year, Martin came out as gay on his blog – an acknowledgement that didn’t surprise his most devoted fans or his family – writing that he was “a fortunate homosexual man.”

“I was trying to believe so hard from the bottom of my heart that I was not gay because what I was presenting on stage was not that,” Martin says in a VH1 preview. ”So it was very confusing.

Us Magazine reports that Gorga thinks “…everyone is going to be pleasantly surprised. It’s good. I like it. That was my first, and as they go on they get better and better and better.”

And, though we all know husband Joe Gorga can pull off wearing a gold lame, did he ever install a gold mic in his wife’s custom-built, home recording studio?

Sherri Shepherd Gets Hitched In Sweet Home Chicago

There must be something more than just water in the those TV mugs.

After news of The View‘s Joy Behar‘s wedding hit the airwaves, co-host Sherri Shepherd‘s equally big news immediately followed as she tied the knot with fiancee Lamar Sally at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago.

Shepherd’s eight bridesmaids included The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Niecy Nash and Community‘s Yvette Nicole Brown.

Her son, 6-year-old Jeffrey, walked her down the aisle.

Shepherd devoted months to try and get in the best shape possible for her wedding day, which will air as a special on the Style Network, Sept. 13, natch.

Wedding Bells for Joy Behar and Longtime Beau

After dating for an impressive 29 years, Joy Behar finally made it official.

The View co-host and Steve Janowitz, her long-time “spousal equivalent” as she has called him in the past, tied the knot Aug. 11 in a private New York City ceremony – an event she plans to discuss on Sept. 6 when the show returns for its 15th season.

She and recently wed co-host Sherri Shepherd will have to compare notes… perhaps a la “Four Weddings.”

David Arquette Makes Sengal Trip to Support Malaria No More

In honor of his 40th birthday, David Arquette decided against getting in favor of giving.

He spent early August in the West African nation of Senegal taking a hands on approach – distributing mosquito nets, meeting with village chiefs, and talking with parents affected by this preventable disease.

The majority of malaria victims are African children under five years old, a sad reality that hits close to home for the actor, who is father to 7-year-old Coco with estranged wife Courteney Cox.

In a letter to fans on his site he said, “When I think about kids’ birthday gifts, I usually think about bikes and Transformers and pogo sticks. But together, we can give a far more important gift: the gift of growing up.”

Arquette has raised more than $1,200 on his site to date. As an extra incentive to donate, Sumitomo Chemical/Olyset, a leader in the global fight against malaria, has pledged to match every dollar raised up to $25,000.

Arquette will spend the rest of the month – up until his birthday on Sept. 8 – sharing his experiences from the trip through David Arquette’s Birthday Giveback campaign at Crowdrise.com/ArquetteGiveBack.

Kate Moss Plans to Dish Dirt on Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp may have closed the Kate Moss chapter of his life, but it appears she kept it bookmarked.

The English model is set to release a kiss-and-tell-all memoir. Celebri-blogger, Perez Hilton, reported the news has ex-flame Depp on the defensive.

According to Hilton’s source, “Johnny is a family man now and Vanessa will flip out if she reads the nitty-gritty details about his wild life with Kate. Kate is still bitter about her breakup with Johnny, and she’ll no doubt use the book as payback.”

While Depp has reportedly asked Moss to nix his name from the book, she has no plans to miss out on her major selling point.

Groovy, Baby! Mike Myers Plans ‘Austin Powers’ 4

This sort of thing is my bag, baby.

After nine long years, Mike Myers is set to bring his infamous “Austin Powers” character back to the big screen with New Line Cinema.

Though the proposed plot of the the fourth 60s spy spoof has yet to be revealed, previous “Powers” flicks have held the promise of snaggle-toothed hilarity.

Myers, 48, first introduced audiences to the British misfit in 1997’s “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery,” which reportedly grossed over $67 million worldwide.

The 1999 follow-up, “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,” took in over $310 million, and the most recent installment, 2002′s “Austin Powers in Goldmember” reportedly earned $296 million.

In other news, turns out Myers will soon become a first-time father with wife Kelly Tisdale.
